The one-liner
A free Skool study circle for Quranic Arabic, with a paid two-volume introductory course on the side.
What they actually sell
Institute of Quranic Arabic, run by Abdul Hay, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "Teaching the language of the Quran to the People of the Quran." It is free to join. The free community offers discussions, study support, reminders and regular insights on the Quran and Arabic, with members able to ask questions and get personal guidance. The paid piece sits outside the membership: a full course, Introduction to Quranic Arabic in two volumes, sold as a one-off. The tone is patient, promising progress one word, one verse and one lesson at a time. Inside sits one course backed by a dense module library.
Who pays and why
Muslims who want to understand the words of the Quran directly, one verse at a time. The frustration is reciting without understanding, and not knowing where a structured start lives. They join for discussion, study support, direct answers to questions and the Introduction to Quranic Arabic course.
Where the members come from
The Skool lander and Abdul Hay's own teaching appear to be the main acquisition path. Public social links are thin on the about page, so growth reads as community-led rather than a giant media brand. Exact follower counts stay off the about page.
What's holding it back
The course is sold separately rather than as a membership tier, so the community itself earns nothing recurring and depends on course sales to keep going.
Steal this
Keep the community free and sell one clearly named course as a single purchase, so new members have an obvious next step.
Would this work in another niche?
Yes for any text-based study, such as biblical Greek or classical Latin. Weak where learners need live speaking practice.
