The one-liner

A paid UK network helping care workers go self-employed, with insurance and training included.

What they actually sell

Professional Carers Network, run by Maria Tomlinson, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "Helping UK independent care workers work legally, care confidently, build meaningful relationships and never feel alone in self-employment." Membership costs $33 a month. Founded by self-employed care worker Maria Tomlinson, the network says it has helped more than 150 care workers towards self-employment. Membership includes public liability insurance, income protection, care and business training, DBS support, templates and resources, care referrals, and peer support and networking. It is built and run by care workers. Inside sit 8 courses and a dense module library. A formal money-back promise is not spelled out on the about page.

Who pays and why

UK care workers who want more freedom and better pay by going self-employed or becoming micro-providers. The fear is the legal and practical risk of doing it alone. They pay for public liability insurance, income protection, training, DBS support and referrals.

Where the members come from

Maria Tomlinson's YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and website presence appears to feed the room. The Skool community reads as the member back end for people already drawn to that work. Exact follower counts stay off the public page.

What's holding it back

Bundling insurance means the network carries real obligations. If cover terms change, the main reason to pay could change with them.

Steal this

Bundle the boring essentials, insurance and DBS support, into the membership, so it is the obvious first step.

Would this work in another niche?

Yes for other self-employed trades such as cleaners, tutors or dog walkers. Weak for hobbies with no legal risk.

“I have got to say, I am enjoying renewing all my courses within the group classroom, it’s absolutely therapeutic going through them all, no stress!! I am on holiday for 2 weeks and trying to work my way through all of them, living the dream 😂”
