Notes
Teardown notes
The one-liner
A beginner social-media-manager academy selling course modules plus weekly group coaching.
What they actually sell
SMMA Academy is Mae's path from zero experience to landing a first social-media-management client. The public page shows about $37 a month and flags a free trial. Inside: follow-along modules, forty-plus video recordings, PDFs and SOPs, weekly live group coaching with Mae, and a community she personally answers. It is a single-offer classroom rather than a long tier stack. No separate money-back promise is spelled out beyond the trial.
Who pays and why
People who want a remote SMM skill and a first client without guessing the offer. They pay for a start-to-first-invoice path and a coach who already sells the work.
Where the members come from
Mae links Instagram. Her lander cites South Africa-based SMM income and Upwork history, so the room monetises that practitioner story. Exact follower counts are not on Skool.
What's holding it back
Owner-answered homework and weekly calls create a hard ceiling. If member questions outpace Mae's week, the "managed by Mae" promise becomes the bottleneck.
Steal this
Sell a first-client SMM curriculum at a mid-low monthly with weekly group coaching owned by the practitioner who still does the work.
Would this work in another niche?
Yes for other freelance starter academies such as virtual assistance or basic paid-ads freelancing. Weak for advanced agency operators who need hiring systems more than first-client scripts.
