Notes
Teardown notes
The one-liner
A free clubhouse for partners left at home during cricket season.
What they actually sell
The Cricket Widow Clubhouse is run by Liv Bythell. Its own pitch: "Your space to laugh, share, vent and celebrate life as a certified Cricket Widow." The public offer is free to join. Premium and VIP tiers sit above the free door, but the page does not show what they cost. The offer is easy to understand in one read, which is half the job of a sales page.
Who pays and why
Partners of cricket lovers who spend summer weekends alone. The pull is laughing about it with women who get it and feeling part of something. They join for friendship, banter and support through the cricket season.
Where the members come from
The page links no outside channels, so most members probably find it through Skool's own discovery and word of mouth. That puts a lot of weight on the about page itself, which has to do the whole selling job. Liv Bythell's profile line reads: "Hey, I’m Liv. a self-confessed cricket widow, hockey player and founder of The Cricket Widow Club."
What's holding it back
The club is seasonal by nature, so the room may go quiet in winter, and the paid tiers are not explained.
Steal this
Build a community for the people around a hobby, not just the people who play it.
Would this work in another niche?
Yes for any time-hungry hobby, like golf or fishing widows. Weak where partners join in.
