The one-liner
A Skool game development school taking beginners from Unity basics to a Steam release.
What they actually sell
Unity Unlocked, run by Gustav Soerensen, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "Publish your first playable game today even if you've never used Unity." The paid door is Standard at $15 a month. Premium sits above that. The creator watched Unity tutorials for years, then learned that nobody teaches how to release a game. Courses run from Unity 6 Basics through a 2D shooter, intermediate C#, a 3D survival game and Make Your Own Game to Steam Release. Members can message for help, and some questions get a dedicated answer video. The creator has eight years in game development, publishes on Steam and has more than 200 YouTube videos. Inside sit 5 courses and a dense module library. Cancel anytime is part of the risk frame.
Who pays and why
Aspiring game developers stuck in tutorial hell. They have watched hours of videos but cannot finish and release a game. They pay for a step-by-step course path ending with a Steam release, and direct support.
Where the members come from
It is the back end of a YouTube channel. The more than 200 videos on the UnityUnlocked channel and a top-ranked platformer course are the most likely feeders.
What's holding it back
Direct messaging and custom answer videos will strain as the group grows, and the page signals a price rise once a member target is reached.
Steal this
End your curriculum with the hardest step nobody teaches, such as publishing, so the course feels complete.
Would this work in another niche?
Yes for any creative craft with a release step, such as music production. Weak where finishing is not the hard part.
